
Son of longtime wrestler Joseph Varga. The last name was often spelled "Vargo" in press reports. In the Los Angeles Examiner (11/28/41), it was stated that Varga had been billed as the "Correspondence School Kid," and that a reader complained the Billy learned the ring ropes from his father - and not from any correspondence school.
