Notes:  Although a previous article in the Boston Globe claimed that the winner would receive
the “New England Title,” a championship was never mentioned after the show in newspaper
accounts.  Gomez was said to have won a purse of $9,000, plus a $2,000 trophy.  He was
also going to challenge Killer Kowalski for the title on April 25.  Gomez was said to have been
denied a title shot for “four months.” There were 18 wrestlers in the tournament, and the
Boston Globe did not provide complete results.  Dupre was from Moncton, New Brunswick.  
Haggerty was said to be Kowalski’s “corner man.”

1960 edition, Paul Bowser was quoted saying that he was trying to make a television
arrangement, and that was the reason for his inactivity.
