*Between January and March 1964, Fred Kohler dropped his affiliation with Jack Pfefer
and sold interest in his business to William “Dick” Afflis.   The connection with Afflis allowed

a loose affiliation with Pfefer for talent, with Afflis bringing O’Connor in from St. Louis and
his pal Sam Muchnick.  Once Bruiser had established his “World Wrestling Association” out
of Indianapolis, WWA names entered Chicago.
