NOTES: Steve Passas was defending a world light heavyweight title in Bridgeport. He was
the world junior heavyweight champion in Lowell. They might be two different titles. More
research is needed to find out.
The fact that Everett Marshall was defending his heavyweight title after the Thesz defeat
is new. The Lowell Sun clearly mentioned that Marshall wore a diamond championship
belt on January 10. Likely it was the belt that Colorado Governor Johnson gave him in
June 1935. However it might be a belt belonging to Al Haft.
