Steele) beat Angelo Cistoldi (dq)  … Johnny Bence drew Tiger Tasker … referee: Jack
Marshall … NOTE: Lone Eagle here worked in Chicago as the Chippewa Eagle. He was not
the Lone Eagle who was on Jack Pfefer’s crew. Bob Nitsche, the late wrestling historian,
believed the Chippewa Eagle was Tony Ross. The various Lone Eagles would be almost
impossible to tell apart some of the time. Pfefer’s version had Princess Bonita beating on the
war drums. He also worked as Yaqui Bravo or Chief Yaqui. If my memory is correct, Tony
Ross appeared again around 1952-53. Likely Nitsche was correct thinking he was the
wrestler here.

1951, he made a fateful tour of Tony Stecher’s promotion.
Jim Melby said that Wally Karbo first gave him the new name---Hans Schmidt!
LaRose left and went back to his original name. In May 1952, Guy became the evil Hans
Schmidt again. The rest is history.
