Territories

The National Wrestling Alliance formally endorsed territorial boundaries,
establishing a code that, to an extent, calmed the extreme paranoia of
its members.  Wrestling promoters had always been on the look out for
an invasion of their sacred ground by aspiring enemies, and the rule
prohibiting such action written into the by-laws was a cherished proclamation.
While members regularily haggled over specific towns, it was uncommon
for one promoter to broach the borders of a neighbor.
