*The Montreal Athletic Commission gave Danno O’Mahoney 30-days to defend his World
Heavyweight Title against Yvon Robert.  The July 1, 1936 edition of the Montreal Gazette
stated that “O’Mahoney recently defeated Robert in a bout at Boston which was
recognized as for the world title by the Massachusetts commission.”

former manager Emil Maupas and his brother Maurice Robert.  No show next week and
on October 12, wrestling would be held at the Mount Royal Arena due to the six-day
bicycle race at the Forum.  Wrestling would return to the Forum on October 19.

News of Robert’s injury was printed in the Saturday, November 14, 1936 edition of the
Montreal Gazette.  The incident between Robert and Olson occurred in Washington “last
night.”  Robert was expected to miss at least two months.  A paralyzed ex-jockey named
Jimmy Darou would be ringside.  A special benefit in Darou’s honor would be staged on
November 23 at the Forum.  Richard Stahl was from Konensburgh, Germany.  Next show
on December 7.

*The Montreal Athletic Commission threatened to suspend Jack Ganson’s license on
Tuesday, November 17, 1936 pending an investigation following Arthur LeGrand’s
interference during the Gus Sonnenberg-Cy Williams bout.
