NJPW Tokyo Dome Show ’98
   -The 1998 annual Tokyo Dome Show marked the retirement of Riki Choshu. The event
   was held on January 4, 1998 in Tokyo, Japan.
           -Keiji Mutoh, co-holder of the IWGP World Tag Team Title vs. Kensuke Sasaki,
                   IWGP World Heavyweight Champion. Sasaki pinned Mutoh to retain the
                   IWGP World Title.
           -Shiro Koshinaka vs. Masa Chono, co-holder of the IWGP World Tag Team Title.
                   Chono pinned Koshinaka.
           -Ultimo Dragon vs. Shinjiro Ohtani, IWGP World Junior Heavyweight Champion.
                   Ohtani pinned Dragon to retain his belt.
           -Riki Choshu vs. Jushin Liger. Choshu pinned Liger.
           -Riki Choshu vs. Kazuyuki Fujita. Choshu pinned Fujita.
           -Riki Choshu vs. Yutaka Yoshie. Choshu pinned Yoshie.
           -Riki Choshu vs. Tatsuhito Takaiwa. Choshu won by pinfall.
           -Riki Choshu vs. Takashi Iizuka. Iizuka won by submission.
           -Tatsumi Fujinami and Osamu Nishimura vs. Satoshi Kojima and Manabu
                   Nakanishi. Nishimura pinned Kojima.
           -Shinya Hashimoto vs. Dennis Lane. Hashimoto won by submission.
           -Don Frye vs. Naoya Ogawa. Frye won by submission.
           -Yuji Nagata vs. Yoshihiro Tenzan. Nagata won.
           -Koji Kanemoto vs. Kendo Ka Shin. Ka Shin won.
   Crowd Estimate: 65,000.

The Inoki Final
   -The leader of New Japan Pro Wrestling, Antonio Inoki was honored by his peers, pupils
   and fans on April 4, 1998 in Tokyo, Japan at the Tokyo Dome. The largest wrestling
   crowd ever to see a show at the Dome was present. A series of matches were held to
   determine which wrestler would face Inoki in the main event. Among the dignitaries
   present for the show were Muhammad Ali, Bob Backlund, Eric Bischoff, Riki Choshu,
   Seiji Sakaguchi and Genichiro Tenryu.
           -Don Frye vs. Antonio Inoki. Inoki forced Frye to submit.
           -Tatsumi Fujinami vs. Kensuke Sasaki, IWGP World Heavyweight Champion.
                   Fujinami captured the belt.
           -Shinya Hashimoto and Osamu Nishimura vs. Masa Chono and Keiji Mutoh, IWGP
                   World Tag Team Champions. Chono pinned Nishimura to retain the
                   championship.
           -Kendo Ka Shin vs. Jushin Liger, IWGP World Junior Heavyweight Champion. Liger
                   pinned Ka Shin.
           -Tatsutoshi Goto, Shiro Koshinaka and Michiyoshi Ohara vs. Junji Hirata, Kazuo
                   Yamazaki and Tadao Yasuda. Goto, Koshinaka and Ohara won.
           -Hiroyoshi Tenzan and Hiro Saito vs. Satoshi Kojima and Manabu Nakanishi.
                   Nakanishi forced Saito to submit.
           -Brian Johnston vs. Naoya Ogawa. Ogawa won by submission.
           -Don Frye vs. Igor Meindert. Frye won.
           -Don Frye vs. Naoya Ogawa. Frye won and received the match against Inoki.
           -Shinjiro Ohtana vs. Yasuji Yasuraoka. Ohtani pinned Yasuraoka.
           -Koji Kanemoto vs. Tatsuhito Takaiwa. Takaiwa pinned Kanemoto.
   Crowd Estimate: 70,000.
