The National Wrestling Association suspended wrestler Everette Marshall on December 31, 1932
on the recommendation of the Missouri Athletic Commission when Marshall refused to wrestle
John Katan.  Marshall and Katan had wrestled earlier in December in Kansas City, and the
controversial nature of the bout pressed the commission to order a rematch.  On January 3,
1933, Marshall agreed to meet Katan in Kansas City on January 9, and the suspension was lifted.



On February 1, 1933, the
National Wrestling Association suspended Ed Don George, Mike
Romano, Sandor Szabo, Scotty McDougall, Glenn Munn, Dude Chick, Jerry Monahan, and Ted
Cox, all of whom appeared for a show in Louisville the night before, and refused to "perform
under the regulations of the association, which include physical examinations by approved
physicians." The suspension would be effective in 20 states which are members of the NWA.  Karl
D. Malone, executive secretary of the NWA, made the announcement.


In a stunning turn of events, the
National Wrestling Association suspended World Heavyweight
Champion Danno O'Mahoney after he "failed to go through with a match" in Galveston, Texas on
February 8, 1936.  NWA President Col. Harry J. Landry, on February 15, announced
O'Mahoney's suspension, effective in 37 states, Cuba, Canada and Puerto Rico.  Landry made a
point to say that his suspension did not strip him of his championship.




Rocco Columbo was suspended indefinitely by the NWA for violating the rules on November 27,
1959, recommended by New Jersey officials.

Tony Altimore was suspended indefinitely for failing to fulfill his contract on November 28, 1959,
recommended by the Connecticut Commission.

William Wright was indefinitely suspended by the NWA on November 29, 1959 for being
physically unfit.  The suspension was recommended by the California Commission.

Kenny Ackles was indefinitely suspended for failing to fulfill a contract on December 3, 1959,
recommended by New York.

Louis Martinez was suspended indefinitely on December 7, 1959 because he suffered a
contusion, recommended by Delaware and Maryland officials.

Alfred Kashey was reinstated by the NWA on December 9, 1959.

Art Nelson was suspended for medical reasons (physical) on December 17, 1959, based on a
California recommendation.

Ricki Starr was indefinitely suspended on December 17, 1959 for failing to fulfill a contract, based
on a Baltimore recommendation.

Rocco Columbo was suspended indefinitely on December 27, 1959 for a violation of the rules,
recommended by New Jersey.

Kenneth Ackles was reinstated by the NWA on January 4, 1960.

Kit Fox was reinstated by the NWA on January 4, 1960.

Louis Martinez was indefinitely suspended for medical reasons on January 14, 1960,
recommended by Maryland.

Gorgeous George was suspended for Acts detrimental to the Best Interest of Wrestling on
February 8, 1960, recommended by the New York State Athletic Commission.

Gorgeous George was reinstated by the NWA on March 18, 1960 after paying a $100 fine.

Ernest Maurice Nolte was reinstated by the NWA on March 19, 1960.

Chris Belkas was indefinitely suspended and fined $250 for a non-appearance on March 21,
1960, recommended by Louisiana.

Billy Strong was suspended indefinitely for a non-appearance and fined $250 on March 21, 1960,
recommended by Louisiana.

Dr. Jerry Graham was indefinitely suspended for the Best Interest of Wrestling on April 18, 1960,
recommended by the New York Athletic Commission.

Lord Littlebrook was indefinitely suspended for failing to fulfill a contract, recommended by
Mississippi, on May 6, 1960.

Bull Brunelle was indefinitely suspended for failing to fulfill a contract, recommended by
Mississippi, on May 6, 1960.

Buddy Fuller was indefinitely suspended by the NWA for failing to fulfill a contract on May 22,
1960, recommended by Mississippi.  Fuller's name was Edward Welch.

The A-A- Sporting Club was reinstated by the NWA on May 24, 1960.

Bill Golden was indefinitely suspended for failing to fulfill a contract and for promoting
unauthorized matches on May 28, 1960, recommended by Mississippi.

Bill Jobe was indefinitely suspended for failing to comply with requests on May 28, 1960,
recommended by Mississippi.

Al Brodoski was indefinitely suspended due to an injured hand on June 29, 1960, recommended
by New York.

Yukon Eric was reinstated by the NWA on July 3, 1960.

Frank Gabor was suspended on July 7, 1960 when his license was revoked by the New York
Commission.

Walter C. "Skip" Wetjen, a promoter, was suspended indefinitely for failing to fulfill a contract on
July 13, 1960, recommended by Mobile, Alabama.

Bud Clardy, a wrestler-referee, was suspended indefinitely for actions detrimental to the Best
Interest of Wrestling by Memphis officials on July 13, 1960.

The A & A Sporting Club was suspended on July 22, 1960 for the Best Interest of Wrestling by
the New York Commission.

Matias Pascua was reinstated by the NWA on August 15, 1960.

Art Thomas was suspended by the NWA for failing to appear, recommended by the Indiana
Commission, on August 20, 1960.

Bearcat Wright was suspended for failing to appear for a show, recommended by the Indiana
Commission, on August 20, 1960.

Abie Ganderson was retired and unavailable as of August 30, 1960.

Charles A. Roseman had his license denied by the New York Athletic Commission, thus was
suspended by the NWA on September 1, 1960.

Antonio Barichivich was suspended for acts detrimental to the Best Interest of Wrestling and fined
$250 on September 1, 1960, recommended by the New York Commission.

Glenwood T. Hess had his license denied by the New York Athletic Commission on September 7,
1960, and suspended by the NWA.

The Great Scott was reinstated by the NWA on September 7, 1960 after paying a $50.00 fine.

Don Fargo was indefinitely suspended for failing to appear on September 14, 1960,
recommended by the Alabama Commission.

Eric Pederson was indefinitely suspended, recommended by Alabama officials, for failing to
appear on September 14, 1960.

Waldo Von Erich was reinstated by the NWA on September 14, 1960.

Leon Finkelstein was ill and unavailable, and was recommended for suspension by the Montana
Commission on September 15, 1960.  He was suspended indefinitely by the NWA.

Nicholas Kwariani, billed as a matchmaker, was suspended  by the NWA for acts demtrimental of
the Best Interest of Wrestling and fined $250 on September 28, 1960.  This was recommended
by the New York Athletic Commission.  He was better known as "Kola Kwariani."

Nicholas Kwariani was reinstated by the NWA on September 28, 1960.  Oddly, he was suspended
and reinstated the same day.  This probably should never have made the *national* NWA
suspension list.

Yukon Eric was suspended indefinitely for acts detrimental to the Best Interest of Wrestling and
fined $100 on October 11, 1960, recommended by the Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission.

Joe Christie was reinstated by the NWA on October 24, 1960.

Ramon Cernades was reinstated by the NWA on November 8, 1960.

Johnny Valentine was reinstated by the NWA on November 11, 1960.

Sweet Daddy Siki was reinstated by the NWA on November 26, 1960.

Oseph Vosefsky was indefinitely suspended by the NWA on November 29, 1960, recommended
by the Pennsylvania Athletic Commission.  No reason is known.

Ruben Garcia was suspended for 30 days and received a $50.00 fine on December 20, 1960.

Francisco Jiminez was suspended indefinitely for medical reasons on January 3, 1961,
recommended by Detroit.

Edouard Carpentier was suspended for 10 days because of an injured knee on June 15, 1961,
recommended by the California Athletic Commission.

Don Kindrid was suspended by the NWA on June 28, 1961 for failure to complete application for
license, recommended by Washington Commission.

Robert Dale Orton (El Diablo) had his request for reinstatement denied by the NWA,
recommended by the California Athletic Commission, on June 29, 1961.

William R. Crockett paid his fine and was reinstated by the NWA on July 5, 1961.
