Manhattan, New York:  August 16, 1884
(Clarendon Hall) ... Edwin Bibby vs. Hamada Korakichi - Match Cancelled
Notes:  The show was cancelled due to a small attendance.  The match was scheduled for
three of five falls, catch and Japanese styles.  Both Bibby and Korakichi left the building.  It
was announced that no money would be refunded, but tickets would be given for the next
show.  Police prevented any action by the crowd.  Notably, sawdust had been placed on
the floor, three inches thick, along with a piece of white canvas to protect the wrestlers had
they fallen from the ring.  But since the match didn't take place, it didn't matter.
