*Tex Rickard decided to end his attempts to promote professional wrestling in New York
City, allowing William “Bill” Wellman to promote the sport at Madison Square Garden by
late January 1922.

issued a challenge for the winner of the Zbyszko-Caddock bout at the Garden on
Monday.  Stecher contacted promoter Bill Wellman to arrange the bout.
