*On Wednesday, December 23, 1936, the New York State Athletic Commission ruled that
promoter Jack Curley of the 71st Regiment Armory, had exclusive rights to promote on
Monday Nights in Manhattan. Curley had been battling off the rival promotions of Mike
Jacobs and Ray Fabiani on Monday nights. Jacobs and Fabiani ran shows at the New
York Hippodrome. The decision would take effect January 4, 1937.
