( ) … Man Mountain Dean vs. William “Bill” Middlekauff
Notes:  Two minutes into the match, Dean “landed his entire weight on his opponent” and
Middlekauff was carried from the ring unconscious.  The latter was taken to City Hospital
with a “possible fractured neck.” The Associated Press report stated that “Frank Dean”
was “questioned by police and released until the extent of Middlekauff’s injuries was
determined by X-ray.”
