*The Omaha World Herald, on Friday, January 3, 1930, reported that Marion Mynster
planned to be a wrestler and a promoter.  He was going to hold a show at the Broadway
Athletic Club on Monday, January 20, where he’d wrestle Tommy Thompson.  Mynster
attended Omaha Technical High School and was a track and field star, specializing in the
pole vault.

*On Friday afternoon, January 17, 1930, the South Omaha and Central Omaha High
School wrestling squads met and went to a 13-13 tie.  In the 145-pound division, Saxton of
Central beat Danny Plechas of South in 2:40.
