In early January 1912, Harry Faust was in Gainesville working to arrange matches with an
unnamed Turkish wrestler and McMurdo.  Faust offered to throw either the Turk or
McMurdo three times in 60:00.  His wife, "Mrs. Faust" was the "female middleweight
champion of America." She offered $25 for any woman she couldn't top in 15:00.

On Tuesday, January 9, 1912, middleweight wrestler E.M. "Eddie" Collins appeared in
Houston looking for matches.  He was from Oklahoma City and reportedly been wrestling
for seven years.  His only loss was to "Tom Volivitch" in Chicago.  Among the wrestlers
Collins had faced were Chief Montour, Joe Carmen, Jim Downing, Martin Lewis, and
Eddie Welt.
