Recommended Wrestling Projects
The following are highly recommended projects for those enthusiastic about professional wrestling history:
1) Jim Londos Record and Newspaper Clipping Book by Steve Yohe
Mr. Yohe wrote the following on the wrestlingclassics message board:
"In the last three weeks I shifted gears on the Londos Record Book and I'm working full time on it. Don has found Londos' second match in Haywood Calif & it's his first loss. Luce also found the amateur tournament Londos won at the SF YMCA. I'm working every night on design and making copies of results. I'm digging in.
"I'm going from negative to positive on it. The cover I like but Home Depot couldn't print on both sides of the hard paper I need for the cover. So I'm going to have to use someone else.
"The clippings are done up to 1928 & it looks good but the book is already 2 inches thick and I'm worried about it being too big to fit in the binding. It's going to be huge. Bigger than Rogers, Steele or The Destroyer. No telling what I'll have to cut.
"All of this is normal with projects like this. And it's always turned out OK in the past.
"I'm making enough for 25 books and I'll be willing to do 25 more later if people order. I know Im going to have to give out 15 books to historians & Libraries. I think I'll sell 10 at $80 each. It's a high price but Im in no mood to make any more. I've done my best on this project, but no one cares...it's fine with me...I figure Ive done my part for wrestling history. Its a pain making these books. I figure someday in the future, someone will find one at the Sports Library and think it's actually important.
"If you don't like reading newpaper clippings this isn't a project for you. I want this book in the hands of the best wrestling minds & its not for everyone. The guys who have gotten my YOHE PRESS's over the years have probably see it all already.
"The process in ordering is the same as with the other YOHE PRESS Books. Do not sell me money at this time...it may not be finshed for a year. Luce doesn't want to rush. We still need to fine tune the record. Look at the Blassie record post for rules."

2) The Rassler from Renfrew - The Story of Larry Kasaboski and Northland Wrestling Enterprises by Gary Howard.
Gary informs me of the following: "This is the story of the Kasaboski promotion in Northern and Eastern Ontario that spanned 35 years and featured wrestlers such as Roy Shire, Dr.Jerry Graham, Maurice and Paul Vachon and Ronnie Garvin in the early stages of their careers. But there were many established stars like Dory Funk, Tony Morelli, Dizzy Davis, Don Evans and Whitey Whittler and Herb and Bill Parks that also toured the circuit. Alex and Larry Kasaboski were hometown heroes and it was Larry who was the glue that held it all together. The story fills the void in wrestling history about a promotion that very little has been written about. The book can be ordered directly from the publisher. Toll free 1-800-465-6072. Their web is www.gsph.com."
The book is Richly illustrated with rare pictures and promo posters.
