Notes:  The winner of the Demetral-Schikat match was going to get a bout with Ed
“Strangler” Lewis, reportedly later in the month.  Demetral last wrestled in San Francisco
two years earlier, according to the newspaper, against Renato Gardini and they engaged
in a draw.  All newspaper reports spelled his name “Schikat,” a derivative of his real last
name, and not “Shikat,” which was more common elsewhere.
