*The Saturday, April 19, 1952 edition of the Long Beach Independent (Long Beach, CA)
stated that “The Champ” wrestling show was being moved from Saturday nights to
Tuesday on KECA (7) and would be broadcast from the South Gate Arena.  On KECA at
7:00 p.m., Texas Wrestling was featured.  It should be noted that before the first program
on the following Tuesday, a deal was done to broadcast the program from the Wilmington
Bowl initially, not the South Gate Arena.
