Notes:

Wild Bill Longson was one of the greatest heels in mat history. Over the years he gave the
Toronto fans, a reason to come to the cards.
Lou Thesz was using airplane spins and his flying body scissors as finishers.
Frank Sexton sometimes became the villain in his contests.
Early in the year promoter Jack Corcoran turned the matchmaking over to his deputy John
Tunney, and did mostly boxing cards.
John and Frank Tunney were brothers.
Elmer Eastep was getting a good push this year. He was better known as Sol Slagel of
Texas. Count Rossi was his second.
Jackie James was billed from Boston. I have seen him billed from Hamilton, Ontario at
times.
All cards seemed to be held at Maple Leaf Gardens.
Pat Riley was the 1st “Angel” to appear in North America. Maurice Tillet was still in Europe
this year.
