They were wrestling for a purse of $7,500. The press said it was the “most spectacular” match ever staged in Tulsa. It was said that Mondt was laying on a stretcher after the first fall with his manager Billy Sandow, wife, and their “little daughter, about 10 years old.” Mondt reportedly wanted to continue the match.
