        -Mankind vs. The Undertaker, WWF World Heavyweight Champion.  Undertaker
         won by pinfall to retain after landing a tombstone piledriver.
                -After the match, the Undertaker tossed a fireball at Paul Bearer.
                -Mankind was accompanied by Paul Bearer.
        -The Legion of Doom (Animal and Hawk) vs. Owen Hart and Davey Boy Smith,
         WWF World Tag Team Champions.  LOD won by disqualification after Bret
         Hart attacked Hawk.
        -Savio Vega vs. Rocky Maivia Jr., WWF Intercontinental Champion.  Vega won
         by countout.
                -Crush attacked Maivia on the outside, giving Vega the win.
                -A brawl ensued afterwards.
        -Steve Austin vs. Bret Hart.  Austin defeated Hart by disqualification.
                -Davey Boy Smith interfered, causing Hart’s disqualification.
                -The two continued to fight after the match.
                -Austin applied a Sharpshooter to Hart after the bout and Hart had to be
                 helped from the ring.
                 -Austin was attacked earlier in the show by Owen Hart and Smith, who        
                 were using baseball bats.
        -Jesse James Armstrong vs. Rockabilly Gunn.  Armstrong won.
                -Gunn was accompanied by the Honky Tonk Man.

SummerSlam ’97
 -The 1997 SummerSlam was held on Sunday, August 3rd.  Billed as “Hart and Soul,”
 the event was held at the Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford, New
 Jersey.  New Jersey Governor, Christie Whitman was presented with an honorary
 WWF Championship.  Lou Albano, Tiger Jeet Singh and Tiger Ali Singh were all
 ringside.
        -Bret Hart vs. The Undertaker, WWF World Heavyweight Champion.  Hart
         pinned Undertaker to take the WWF World Title.
                 -Special Referee:  Shawn Michaels.
                 -Stipulation:  If Hart failed to bring the WWF World Title back to Canada,
                 he’d never again wrestle on American soil.
                 -Hart dedicated the match to his fans.
                 -Michaels was told that if he didn’t officiate the match cleanly, he’d be fired.
                 -Paul Bearer made an appearance during the match, as did Owen Hart
                 and Brian Pillman.
                 -Michaels attempted to hit Hart with a steel chair and missed, hitting the
                 Undertaker and leading to the final pin.
        -Steve Austin vs. Owen Hart, WWF Intercontinental Champion.  Austin pinned
         Owen to capture the I-C Title at the 16:16 mark.
                -Stipulation:  If Austin loses, he must kiss Hart’s Butt.
                -Austin suffered an injured neck after being piledriven.  He was taken to a
                 hospital.
        -Ken Shamrock vs. Davey Boy Smith, WWF European Heavyweight Champion.  
         Smith won by DQ.
                -Stipulation:  If Smith loses, he must eat a can of dog food.
                -Shamrock hit Smith with a can, causing his disqualification.
        -Hunter Hearst Helmsley vs. Mankind.  Mankind won.
                -Special Cage Match.
                -Helmsley was accompanied by Chyna.
        -Goldust vs. Brian Pillman.  Goldust won with help from Marlena, by pinfall.
                -Goldust was accompanied by Marlena.
                -Stipulation:  If Pillman loses, he must wear a dress on Raw the next night.
                -Pillman attacked a mannequin after the match.

         Hart and Davey Boy Smith vs. The Legion of Doom (Animal and Hawk) vs. The
         Godwinns (Henry and Phineas Godwinn) vs. The Headbangers (Mosh and
         Thrasher).  Headbangers won the match and the WWF Tag Title.
        -Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker.  No Contest.
        -Goldust vs. Brian Pillman.  Pillman won by pinfall.
                -Goldust was accompanied by Marlena.
                -Marlena must serve as Pillman’s valet/”servant” for 30-days.

In Your House, Badd Blood
-The show was held on Sunday, October 5, 1997 in St. Louis, Missouri at the Kiel
 Center.  The death of Brian Pillman was recognized prior to the pay-per-view during  
 the “Free-for-All” and again during the PPV broadcast.  Mr. Pillman died earlier in
 the day in Bloomington, Minnesota, near where the WWF had run a house show the
 night prior.  Pillman was scheduled to wrestle Dude Love on the program.  During
 Badd Blood, the WWF honored a number of St. Louis and pro-wrestling legends
 from Sam Muchnick to Harley Race.
 -Commentators:  Vince McMahon, Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler.
         -Davey Boy Smith and Bret Hart, WWF World Heavyweight Champion vs. The
         Patriot and Vader.  Hart pinned the Patriot.
                -Special Flag Match.
         -Match Stipulations:  Pin, submission or capture opponent’s flag.
                -Bret Hart carried the Canadian Flag.
                -The Patriot entered to Kurt Angle’s future music, carrying the American
                 Flag.
                -The match began on the arena floor.
        -The Godwinns (Henry O. and Phineas I. Godwinn) vs. The Headbangers (Mosh
         and Thrasher), WWF World Tag Team Champions.  Godwinns won the WWF
         Tag Title.  Phineas pinned Mosh.
                -The Godwinns were accompanied by Uncle Cletus.
                 -Special Ring Announcer:  Sunny.
                 -Referee:  Tim White.
                 -After the match, the Godwinns continued to attack the Headbangers until  
                 the referee threatened to strip them of their newly won belts.
        -Vacant WWF Intercontinental Title Tournament Final.  Faarooq vs. Owen Hart.  
         Hart pinned Faarooq to take the I-C Title.
                -Prior to the match, Steve Austin walked to the ring with the WWF I-C
                 Title.  He was on hand to give the winner the belt.  Austin rang the initial
                 bell and then did some special commentary.  He also provided some
                 commentary at the Spanish speaking commentary table with Tito
                 Santana.  Austin joined the French team, giving commentary with Ray
                 Rougeau.  He talked about his next appearance in Montreal at the
                 Survivor Series.
                 -Jim Neidhart ran out during the match.
                 -Austin smashed Faarooq in the head with the I-C Belt.  He then threw the
                 belt into the ring and left.
         -The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels, WWF European Heavyweight
         Champion.  Michaels won by pinfall.
                -Special “Hell in the Cell” Cage Match, the 1st ever of it’s kind.
                -Michaels was accompanied by the members of DX, Hunter Hearst
                 Helmsley, Rick Rude and Chyna.
                -Kane appeared with Paul Bearer and attacked the Undertaker, helping
                 Michaels get the victory.
                 -A bloody match.
                 -Referee:  Earl Hebner.
        -Los Boricuas (Jesus Castillo, Jose Estrada Jr., Miguel Perez and Savio Vega)
         vs. Disciples of Apocalypse (Chainz, Crush, Eight-Ball and Skull).  DOA won.
        -Nation of Domination (D-Lo Brown, Rocky Maivia Jr. and Kama) vs. The Legion
         of Doom (Animal and Hawk) and Ken Shamrock.  Brown, Kama and Rocky Jr.
         won when Rock pinned Hawk.
                -Shamrock was unable to participate in the match because he didn’t have
                 a medical clearance.  Shamrock was injured by Faarooq several weeks
                 earlier.
                 -Rock used his “Rock Bottom,” before it was known as such, to score the
                 pinfall.
                -Special Handicap Match.
        -Mosaic and Tarantula vs. Max Mini and Nova.  Max and Nova won.  Max pinned
         Tarantula.
                -Replacement match for the previously scheduled Brian Pillman vs. Dude
                 Love.

Survivor Series ’97
-Held on Sunday, November 9, 1997 from the Molsen Center in Montreal, Quebec,
 Canada.  The event was also known as “Gang Rulz.” During the event, Jacqueline
 Cook was announced as the winner of the Super Supper Sweepstakes.  Jim Ross
 and Jerry Lawler spoke to her from her home in Columbia, South Carolina.  She
 picked “Stone Cold” Steve Austin to be her dinner partner.
 -Commentators:  Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler.
        -Shawn Michaels, WWF European Heavyweight Champion vs. Bret Hart, WWF
         World Heavyweight Champion.  Michaels defeated Hart by submission to
         capture the WWF World Title.
                -Famous “Montreal Finish” or “Montreal Screwjob.”
                -Michaels walked with Hunter Helmsley, Chyna and Rick Rude from his
                 dressing room to the entrance way.
                -Hart was accompanied by Davey Boy Smith, Jim Neidhart and his son to
                 the entrance way.
                 -Michaels and Hart battled throughout the ringside area and up the          
                 aisleway before the match began.
                 -Many referees, WWF Officials and security were present to protect both
                 wrestlers.
                 -Michaels locked in a sharpshooter and Hebner and Vince McMahon
                 called for the bell to be rung.
                 -The match ended as Michaels’ music played overhead.
                 -Helmsley, Neidhart and Smith appeared after the match.
                 -Referee:  Earl Hebner.

         Hart to capture the I-C Title.
                -Hart was accompanied by Team Canada for his match, but left after Jim

                -Kane was accompanied by Paul Bearer.
                -The match marked Kane’s in-ring debut.
                -Brutal Match.
        -The Headbangers (Mosh and Thrasher) and The New Blackjacks (Blackjack
         Bradshaw and Blackjack Windham) vs. The Godwinns (Henry and Phineas
         Godwinn) and Road Dogg, Jesse James Armstrong and Billy Gunn.

                 -After the match, Michaels was attacked by Owen Hart, wearing street
                 clothes.
        -The Legion of Doom (Animal and Hawk) vs. The New Age Outlaws (Jesse
         James Armstrong and Billy Gunn), WWF World Tag Team Champions.  
         Armstrong and Gunn won by disqualification.
                 -Henry Godwinn played a part in the finish.

         pinned Rock.

                -Austin accidentally stunned the referee and Maivia attempted to use a
                 pair of brass knuckles.

         Christopher vs. Taka Michinoku.  Michinoku defeated Christopher to capture
         the title by pinfall.
        -Jeff Jarrett vs. The Undertaker.  Jarrett won by disqualification.
                -Kane caused the Undertaker’s DQ, chokeslamming Jarrett.
        -Butterbean vs. Marc Mero.  Butterbean defeated Mero by Disqualification.
                -Boxing Match.
                -Mero was disqualified for wrestling.
                -Mero was accompanied by Sable.
