Royal Rumble ’01
 -The 2001 Royal Rumble was held on Sunday, January 21, 2001 from the New
 Orleans Arena in New Orleans, Louisiana.  The event marked the return of several
 former WWF stars including former WWF World Champion, The Big Show, ex-
 Intercontinental Champion, Honky Tonk Man and former WWF World Tag Team
 Champion and more recently the WCW World Hardcore Champion, Haku.  A well
 known celebrity also participated in the match.  The star of the Drew Carey Show,
 Drew Carey entered the ring at number 5 and eliminated himself.  Carey nearly got
 put to the mat by a Kane chokeslam.

 Kidman, Torrie Wilson and Kanyon.  Hunter Hearst Helmsley was also at the show.
 -Commentators:  Jim Ross and Paul Heyman.
         -Chris Benoit vs. Chris Jericho vs. Steve Austin, WWF World Heavyweight
         Champion.  Austin retained his championship with a pin of Benoit.
              -Three-Way WWF World Title Match.
              -During the contest, WCW World Champion, Booker T arrived and attacked
               Austin.  Austin was put through the commentary table and suffered an
               injury.  He was able to finish the match.
             -A rumor was circulating that if Benoit or Jericho won the championship, they
               would leave the WWF for the WCW group.

              -Angle kicked out of a Stone Cold Stunner.  A second Stunner sent Angle

              -Austin beat on Angle harshly outside of the ring.  Threw him into the ring
                 post many times.
              -Angle was busted open and Austin continued to beat on him unmercifully.
              -Angle locked in his submission move outside the ring.  They both crawled
                 into the ring.

 -The most important wrestling event in World Wrestling Federation History was held

 winner would remain as the only entity.  The other group of wrestlers would be fired.  
 Several championships were also unified, eliminating titles with histories dating back
 to the 1970s.

                 match.  Patrick replaced him until he was knocked out by Austin.  Hebner
                 returned to finish the match.
                 -Kurt Angle hit Austin with the WWF World Title Belt, helping Rock land a   
                 Rock Bottom and score the final pin.
      -Six-Way, Vacant WWF Women’s World Title Match.  Ivory vs. Jacqueline vs. Jazz
         vs. Lita vs. Mighty Molly vs. Trish Stratus.  Trish pinned Ivory and won the
         vacant Women’s World Title.
              -Two wrestlers were in the ring as the other four stood in each corner.  Any
                 participant could be tagged in.
      -The Dudley Boys (Buh Buh Ray and D-Von Dudley), WCW World Tag Team
         Champions vs. The Hardy Boys (Jeff and Matt Hardy), WWF World Tag Team
         Champions.  Dudleys won the match and unified the titles.
              -Special WWF World Tag vs. WCW World Tag Title Unification Match.
              -Special Cage Match.
              -The Dudleys were accompanied by Stacy Keibler.
              -Jeff Hardy missed a move off the top of the cage through a table after Matt
                 Hardy had already escaped.  He was pinned.
      -Edge, WCW United States Heavyweight Champion vs. Test, WWF
         Intercontinental Champion.  Edge pinned Test to unify the two championships.
              -WWF Intercontinental vs. WCW United States Title Unification Match.
      -Al Snow vs. Christian, WWF European Heavyweight Champion.  Christian
         pinned Snow to retain.
      -William Regal vs. Yoshihiro Tajiri.  Regal won.
      -Immunity Battle Royal.  Winner would not be fired for a year, no matter which
         faction won the main event.  Test eliminated Billy Gunn in the finals for the win.

Vengeance ’01
 -The final pay-per-view of 2001 was held on Sunday, December 9, 2001 at the San
 Diego Sports Arena in San Diego, California.  Vengeance was the site of a special
 tournament to determine an Undisputed World Heavyweight Champion.  The former
 WCW World Heavyweight Title would be unified with the WWF World Title and one
 of four wrestlers would stand alone as the top champion recognized by the World
 Wrestling Federation.

 UNDISPUTED WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE TOURNAMENT – MATCH ONE:
         -Kurt Angle vs. Steve Austin, WWF World Heavyweight Champion.  Austin
                 pinned Angle to retain after a stunner.
MATCH TWO:
      -Chris Jericho vs. The Rock, World Heavyweight Champion.  Jericho pinned Rock
                 to capture the World Heavyweight Title after a Rock Bottom.
              -Vince McMahon appeared late in the match and distracted the referee.
              -Referee:  Earl Hebner.
FINAL MATCH:
      -Chris Jericho, World Heavyweight Champion vs. Steve Austin, WWF World
                 Heavyweight Champion.  Jericho pinned Austin to become the undisputed
                 World Heavyweight Champion.
              -Winner Becomes the Undisputed World Heavyweight Champion.
              -Prior to the match, Austin was hit by a steel chair wielded by Kurt Angle
                 and Jericho was given a Rock Bottom by the Rock.
              -Jericho’s second match in succession.
              -Co-WWF Owners, Vince McMahon and Ric Flair fought outside the ring.
              -Booker T hit Austin in the back of the head with the championship belt,
                 helping Jericho get his winning pinfall.

                 Jackie to retain.

                 pinned Van Dam to capture the belt.

      -Albert and Scotty Too Hotty vs. Test and Christian, WWF European
         Heavyweight Champion.  Albert and Scotty won.
