Various Career Notes:  Gibbons was the television commentator for Gabe Menendez’s Washington D.C. program on Wednesday nights on WMAL-TV.  -49-

Bailey Goss

Born:                                                                           Sunbury, PA

Career Span:                -1942-’56-

Various Career Notes:  Goss joined WBAL in 1940.  He hosted the “Bailey Goss” show on WMAL (channel 7) in Washington D.C. in March 1951 from 4:00-6:00 p.m.  Goss passed away after an accident driving home after a dinner given by the Baltimore Colts.

Died:                           May 1, 1962, Baltimore, Maryland     49 years old

Bob Wolff

Career Span:                -1946-’56-

Various Career Notes:  Wolff hosted a weekly sports program on WINX radio in Washington D.C. in 1946 and had many wrestlers on for interviews.


Obituaries:

Matchmaker for Washington D.C. promoter Joe Turner, Goldie Ahern died on May 11, 1974 at the age of 75.  Ahern was a longtime boxing promoter.
