representing KECA (7), for televising an hour show from the Wilmington Bowl.  The
program would be shown from 8-9 p.m. and feature Joe “The Champ” Pazandak versus
challengers and a Wrestlers’ Roundtable.

*The Sunday, April 20, 1952 edition of the Long Beach Independent (Long Beach, CA)
reported that beginning Tuesday, KECA-TV (7) would begin broadcasting a special hour
long wrestling show from the Wilmington Bowl.  Joe “The Champ” Pazandak would meet
two challengers in a continuation of the “show formerly known as ‘Beat the Champ.’” As
soon as the two bouts were finished, the cameras would switch to a conference room in
an adjacent building for the “Wrestlers’ Roundtable” portion of the KECA program.

and KECA with a “salute.” Sandor Szabo was taking over the “Pot of Gold” TV program
feature, according to the newspaper report, and was defending $1,800 in prize money.  
At this show, Szabo was originally scheduled to wrestle Chester Hayes and a “surprise”
opponent in the “Pot of Gold” matches.  He was debuting as the defender of the $1,800
on the televised KECA (7) “Wrestling Jackpot” program.  The “Jackpot” matches were the
only bouts to be telecast from the show, and broadcast between 8:00-9:00 p.m.  Al
Kashey was making his local debut.  Ray Piret was originally booked to wrestle George
Temple.
