Notes:  The Missouri Mauler's manager, Gary Hart, was suspended in a cage over the
ring.  During that match, Hart dropped down an illegal object, which Mauler used on his
opponent, earning the DQ.  Mauler was the American champion and his title could not
change hands on a DQ.

Notes:  The Houston Chronicle (7/15/73) stated that Brisco "lost a title opportunity when
Dory Funk Jr., who held the title, had to cancel out of a March match due to an injury."
Officials from the NWA will be on hand to "certify the decision as official." No television of
any of this show's "action," according to the paper.  The same newspaper (7/21/73)
reported that Brisco was only 1 year old the last time the championship changed hands in
Houston - when Bobby Managoff dethroned Yvon Robert.  Prior to the main event, NWA
President Sam Muchnick "presented race with a $10,000 gold belt specially crafted for
the NWA champion." However, Brisco walked off with the championship at the end of the
evening.
